The Department of Ocean and Border Governance
The Department of Ocean and Border Governance fosters our students to be the future law-enforcement professionals with both theoretical and practical knowledge of marine as well as border and management. The curriculum consists of law, policy and management with courses such as Ocean Legal Affairs, Coast Guard and Executive Law, Entry and Exit Management, Customs Duties and Marine Industry Management. Due to the geographic location of Kinmen, our students are also prompt to keep up with the international and cross-strait dynamics. A part of the curriculum also focuses on the local demands and needs of Kinmen. Our students are also provided with internship programs after years of solid training. Upon graduation, our students l have the abilities to take on any sort of marine-related jobs. The government jobs our students are capable of engaging include coast guard administration, customs duties, entry and exit management (immigration officer), national security bureau, investigation bureau. They will also be equiped with the abilities to engage any jobs in the marine industry such as shipping companies, customs brokers, tally companies, port loading, and unloading industry companies.
